Five years into the Smith's system. I am still happy. Still growing.
In 1999, I purchased my first Smith's School of English Franchise. I sold my first school to Tom Payne. Tom is still with Smith's, still happy. I then purchased the rights to Fuse, Osaka. I located my school in a 60-square meter business space. It is in a very prominent location and has a fantastic plate glass window facing the road. I have also recently invested in a great place to live separate from my school. I am still in Fuse today. I love it.
When I started, I knew nothing about teaching English in Japan. Sure, I had a little experience, but when I saw the way Smith's did it, well, it blew me away.
It is five years since I bought that first franchise with little more than a great desire and commitment to gain control of my career. With Smith's system's support, I now own a very successful, profitable business with the control I always desired and well, much more.
I'm proud to be teaching English. I'm happy in Japan. I love it all.
Thanks for being there, Smith.
