Testimonials
Hi there my names Michael Winfield, I have been a Smith's School coach at Kyobashi for almost 1 year now. I am very happy to say that teaching English at this school is a very rewarding and satisfying experience. As far as I am concerned Mr. Smith has created a school with a great teaching environment that is unequaled anywhere else in Japan.
From the moment that you apply you are treated with a comforting and welcoming atmosphere. The application process itself is very simple. You can easily apply online as I did by submitting your application on the Smith's School website. One of Smith's people will read your application. After being contacted if you are in Japan you are invited into the Kyobashi office for an interview. It is here at this point that you will find the welcoming atmosphere that awaits you. The training program that follows is a very useful and beneficial system. My training prepared me very well with the skills and information that you I need everyday in striving to become a successful Smith's School coach.
I feel that Mr. Smith's staff is his greatest asset. He has formed a group of teachers and office support staff that are second to none. Everyone works together as a team. The greatest advantage of this system is that you can rely on others for help. Everyone helps each other and you know that you can ask anyone for help at anytime.
Teaching English in Japan to Japanese students is the part I like the best. From the moment you greet them in the lobby to the actual lesson is a very rewarding and exciting experience. The Smith's School curriculum is great and very easy to teach. The students really enjoy the lessons. I feel the most rewarding asset of the teaching curriculum is the ongoing results. You can really see the progress of the students as they become better English speakers.
I believe anyone who chooses to teach English at Smith's School will be very happy. I have been teaching English in Japan for almost 3 years now. I am very grateful that Smith's School has become an important of my teaching career :o)
