		<description>Edward,

Thanks for your comment. I am glad that you have found a nice little bakery near your school. The relationship with the owner you have may get you students and this is a great way to promote your school.

By the way, I recently tried a new croissant with white chocolate and raisins inside. It was amazing! You might want to try it! Oh and the shop opens at 7:30am. The other day, I went soon after they opened. The chocolate in a chocolate croissant that I ate was still melted! Now that's fresh! Delicious!

<description>Derek- My favourite thing in Japan is all the great fresh baked goods, especially breads. It's great you have found a nice local bakery you like so much. I also have a little local bakery across from my school in Ohtsu. The bakery is called "Hiro" and the owner (Hiro-san) is a really nice guy. We have a nice supportive relationship- he keeps my Smith's School of English Ohtsu flyers on the counter of the bakery, and i (like you) send students there for snacks, as well as buying my lunch there often. Furthermore, one of his staff members is going to Canada soon, and may join our school prior to leaving.

I always enjoy going in to Hiro for lunch, a snack, or just a friendly chat! (It helps me with studying Japanese as well!)

Next time i'm in Tsukaguchi, i'll definitely try some baked goods at Feinbrot!

<description>I couldn't agree with you more, Ken. Last year at this time I was working for a big chain eikaiwa, and not only did I NOT have Golden Week off, but actually had to work overtime on the National Holidays! Like you, I will be spending this Golden Week doing short 1 and 2 day trips around Japan, including a trip to Nagasaki, 2 days in Tokyo and possibly a bicycle trip around Lake Biwa (the biggest lake in Japan and only 2 minutes from my school, Smith's Ohtsu in Shiga). I must echo your sentiments that I love being in Japan and I love the flexibility we have at Smith's! Enjoy yourself this Golden Week!

		<description>Jim, that is great.

I have several older students who are often answer "Japanese" when I ask them what language they are speaking. They seem to be convinced that they cannot and are not speaking English. The revelation your student had was very inspirational and I think I will try to employ it with my older students. Thank you for this great idea!

<description>Wow, nice take on the cooperation aspect. Now that i think about it we've got some similar gaps at the Kyobashi school as well. That's a good point that people from different generations can teach each other as well. Nice that the students can learn more than just English in your class :D</description>

		<description>Al-
I agree that this is a great lesson and when students understands its usefulness they really appreciate it. An easy way i like to get students expanding is by role-playing an airplane scene, with 1 student as the flight attendant and 1 or 2 students as the passengers. It's easy to slip in a few hints to get them going ( e.g. "thirsty", "hungry", "bored", "cold", and so on). I like to teach this lesson for all students who are planning a vacation in the near future. Help them enjoy their flight! Also great for shopping and restaurants, and easy to combine with those lessons!
