One of the strongest common threads bonding the members of the Smith’s T.E.A.M. together is simply that we love Japan. We didn’t come here for an extended spring break or to try something temporary. We came here to live. We came here to be a part of the community, build a meaningful career and perhaps a family. We enjoy participating not just on a surface level, but fully becoming a part of the culture around us. That being said, we could never forget our home countries; our roots and the traditions we grew up with, nor would we want to.
One time we see western culture most prevalent here in Japan is during the Christmas season. Many foreigners choose to return home during this season to visit friends and family. Smith’s guarantees vacation days during this holiday season to support all those in our system who choose to take their vacation at this time of year. Many of our members however, have lived here for so long, and the family and friends they have built here that are so dear to them that they choose to spend the Christmas and New Year season here in Japan.
This category is dedicated to words on how this holiday season was spent.
