Am I the Same “Good Morning” Person?

When Edward, my younger sister and I were handing out Smith’s School of English Ohtsu (スミス英会話大津校) flyers at  JR Ishiyama  station (石山駅) in the morning, something fun happened.

Three high school girls passed by me so I said, “Good morning! How are you?” Usually, at least one of them would say “Good morning” back since they have seen us many times at the station and they are getting used to saying some greetings in English.

This time; however, our morning routine went differently.
“What?! That girl is not the usual ‘Good Morning’ girl!”
“Really!? I think she is the same person.”
“No, no, something is different about her!”
“Maybe she has a different hairstyle.”
“No–, she is a different girl!”
(*This conversation was in Japanese*)

They were excitedly discussing if I was the same person who has been giving them the flyers and forgot to say “Good Morning” back!

Recently, I got a haircut and also changed the colour so that I would look much younger. The group of girls proved that I SUCCESSFULLY changed my image (I am not sure if I looked younger, though…)!

Later, my sister told me that another group of high school boys were exceptionally quiet and looked very confused, seeing my SISTER giving them the flyers! They usually try to say “Good Morning!” to us BEFORE we give them  some greetings; however, this time,  she and I looked too similar to decide who they should say “Good Morning” to!

Very cute story indeed Chiharu. I am sure you look younger but am not sure why you think you need to! Keep up the great writing.

That’s great soon they’ll come looking for one of you to teach them English, maybe Edward should cut and dye his hair too.

    Best regards,

    Chiharu,

Take a look at my comment on the Japanese site too. But I agree with Mark, you are ‘forever young’ anyway. But….. I am looking forward to seeing the new ‘you’ soon.

I agree with Ken. What can Edward do to outdo you?
