I had a very unique and interesting student today. Although a pink level student, he had good comprehension and understood every word I said without having to rephrase any sentences. He was also well-spoken where he was capable of verbally expressing his thoughts and feelings. His character struck me from the first time I met him with energy and enthusiasm. It was obvious he was here to learn English, which is an attitude all teachers appreciate and is imperative when trying to learn a language other than your mother tongue. He was very keen to speak, so I let him interrupt at any time during class. Although this may have disrupted the lesson plan, the student was given the opportunity to speak in English, which is what we teachers encourage to the students at this school. The student left the class at the end with a satisfying expression.
