I’ve been lucky enough to have met a number of great teachers of late and fortunately was able to hire some of them to work part-time with me in Hirakata. Until last year basically I took care of everything myself but lately my students have a chance to meet a few other foreigners while at the same time know I’m still around. With their help it frees me up to concentrate of planning and preparation of new ideas. Among the things we’re all working on together are more music for kids’ CDs, artwork for kids’ materials and then a database to keep track of students / lessons digitally, it’s amazing how much be done with the help of just one or two people. Once I can find my own team then I hope together we’ll be able to build up student numbers in Hirakata and really make a difference. After all, one man can only do so much.
