I’ve been teaching at my school for 7 years now and I’m proud to say that I’ve got students that have been with me for 4,5 or even 9 years. (before I joined Smith’s) It gives me great pride to see my students’ growth and unlike the big chain schools it’s in my best interest to keep students. What’s my secret? Nothing special really - giving them a lesson they enjoy, teaching them something new each lesson and catering the lesson to their needs. All the while students don’t have to pay any extra fees and there’s no big down payment. If circumstances change and they can’t attend classes any longer then they can easily cancel without incurring a big fine or loss of money. I appreciate that students are in a system that’s not only good for them but good for me. I have a great relationship with my students and treat them like family. Seeing my students make new friends with other students is something I treasure. English is simply the medium used to communicate in and with it we can learn so much from so many. Helping to expand my students’ horizons brings a smile to my face each and every day ![]()
