Hello, everyone!
Those who know me wouldn’t be surprised to see pictures of me with giant, cutting edge telescopes standing around everywhere. Neither would anyone be shocked to hear me talk about them like I was possessed nor roll their eyes to see me sitting in Star bucks with my third double espresso trying to solve obscure optical physics equations on the back of napkins. The fact is, despite having many other time-consuming hobbies, I’m totally obsessed with astronomy and ultra-premium optical equipment.
At my Smith’s School of English Fukushima franchise, I have an astronomy and natural science course which helps to interest high level speakers. There are a couple of engineers studying at Fukushima who joined specifically to discuss astrophysics. I know it might be hard to believe, but a large percentage of people are actually very interested in astronomy, but because it’s so complicated, they usually know very little and are reluctant to talk about it. It is probably the grandest of all subjects and infinitely complicated, yet with proper guidance it can also be very easy to enjoy.
